Booking & Planning Your 30A Family Photo Session

I photograph relaxed, unposed family sessions for families vacationing along 30A, including Rosemary Beach, Alys Beach, Seaside, Watersound, Inlet Beach, Grayton Beach, and nearby beach communities.

Candid family beach photography of boys skim boarding while mom and grandmother watch.

Have questions before booking?

I’m always happy to help if you’re unsure which session is the best fit or want to talk through locations, ideas, or questions before booking.

You can set up a quick call, or if you already know what you want, book your 30A family photo session directly after filling out the contact form.

Booking your session

After you fill out the contact form, I’ll send over everything you need to book your session.

From there, you will:

  • Choose your date

  • Sign the contract

  • Pay your session fee online to reserve your spot

If your session is during a vacation, I usually recommend booking earlier in your trip whenever possible. This gives more flexibility if weather along the Florida coast requires rescheduling.

Planning your session

After booking, I send over a planning guide with:

  • Location ideas around 30A

  • Activity suggestions

  • Outfit tips

  • Everything you need to know before your session

You do not need to plan anything elaborate.

Having a few simple ideas can help create variety in your gallery, especially for shorter sessions. Examples include:

  • getting ice cream

  • building sandcastles

  • playing games

  • making pancakes

  • roasting marshmallows over a beach bonfire

Some neighborhoods and beach communities have photography restrictions or permit and fee requirements, so knowing your rental location helps me choose the best and easiest options.

If you want help thinking through ideas or locations, I’m always happy to help.

Session Information

You do not need to perform, pose, or worry about your kids behaving perfectly.

I’m simply documenting your family as you are together. The goal is for the experience to feel relaxed and easy, so your photos reflect your real life and connection.

All sessions include a curated gallery of images delivered in high-resolution for printing, along with web-sized files for sharing.

Your gallery also includes access to professional print and album ordering.

Most families choose the 2-hour session, as it provides enough time for a full gallery of images.

  • The Short Story (Up to 1 Hour)

A shorter 30A family photo session designed to capture a small slice of your time together.

This option is best for families who want something quick and simple while still receiving a meaningful collection of images.

Recommended for immediate families of up to 6 people. If you need extended coverage, please consider longer session options. Most families find that a longer session allows everyone to relax and results in a more complete set of images.

  • The Full Story (Up to 2 Hours)

This is where everything starts to open up. Everyone relaxes, personalities come through, and the photographs you’ll really want to remember start happening once everyone forgets the camera is there.

With more time, we can settle in and follow things as they naturally unfold, whether you’re playing in the waves, roasting marshmallows at a beach bonfire, celebrating a birthday, enjoying a bachelorette weekend, or simply spending time together.

It’s a laid-back, unhurried experience that lets you be yourselves while I document it all.

Most families choose this session because it gives everyone time to relax and results in a more complete, natural set of images.

  • The Whole Story (Up to 4 Hours)

A slower, more immersive experience for families or groups who want their time documented more fully, from the big parts of the day to everything in between.

This session gives us time to capture a more complete story, from morning snuggles and breakfast chaos to beach adventures and everything in between. Whether we’re at the beach, your home/rental, or moving between both, I’ll document your time as it naturally unfolds.

Ideal for:

  • family reunions

  • multi-family vacations

  • celebrations

  • time at multiple locations

Curation and editing

After your session, I carefully go through the images and select the ones that best tell the story of your time together.

From there, each image is individually edited. Some images work best in color, while others feel stronger in black and white. Every image is carefully crafted to preserve the feeling of the moment.

Your final gallery

Around 4 weeks after your session, your gallery will be delivered online.

This is the part where you get to slow down and relive your time together through photographs that feel honest and true to your family.

You’ll receive all of the final culled images from your session in an online gallery where you can download, share, and order prints or albums if you would like.

If you still have questions about the style of photography, you can read What is Documentary Family Photography or What to Expect From Your Session.
Or you can go straight to the Contact page to book your session.
